MASSAGE GUIDELINES

We strive to hold a respectful, safe, and confidential environment, where together we will work toward achieving your goals. Prior to your session, we will determine what your goals are for the session.

We will maintain a clean and hygienic space, and it would be greatly appreciated if the same measures were taken in regards to the cleanliness of your being prior to arriving for massage. We respect all clients regardless of age, gender, race, national origin, sexual orientation, religion, socio-economic status, body type, political affiliation, state of health, or personal habits.

Within ethical bounds, we will massage as much or as little as you are comfortable. Genitals will NEVER be exposed or massaged!

Ethical treatment in the massage is of utmost importance; sexual behavior or harassment will not be tolerated. If you ever feel uncomfortable with anything, please let us know immediately. If either party feels his or her safety is compromised at any time during the session, the session will be terminated immediately.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS

If you have any serious medical conditions, approval from your doctor may be necessary to proceed with the massage.

Massage increases circulation and can thus increase the effects of drugs or alcohol, sometimes resulting in harmful medical problems. Therefore please do not drink or take any drugs prior to your session. If you arrive intoxicated or under the influence, we reserve the right to cancel your appointment and collect payment for its full value.

It is important to be aware that massage therapy is not a replacement for medical car, and we will not be making diagnoses. Though, we may suggest stretches and other self care tips for you to implement at home.

CANCELLATIONS AND TARDINESS

If you cancel an appointment without giving 24 hours notice, you will be charged the full price of the massage. If we cancel a massage without giving 24 hours notice, your next massage with be free of charge.

Failure to arrive on time will result in full payment for our time. We will do our best to provide a complete session with our remaining time.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Confidentiality practices are observed. We will not share any information about our sessions with anyone. Exceptions are if you are under 18 years of age, you have given us written consent to share information, or we have received a court subpoena.

If you are under the age of 18, we will need written consent form your parent or legal guardian to proceed with massage. Information obtained during our sessions may be shared with your parent or guardian.

Your files will be stored in a secure area and viewed by no outside parties.

PAYMENT

Payment is expected at the time of service is rendered.

We do not offer insurance billing or reimbursement. We can provide you with a receipt to assist you in obtaining your own reimbursement from your insurance company.

In addition, we would appreciate any comments, suggestions, or ideas you have in regards to any of the above listed or anything else that arises for you through the course of our professional relationship.
